Jeffrey Brown at OK Comics
The
Jeffrey Brown signing event at OK Comics was a great
success. Jeffrey was kept busy by fans for the full
three hours, sketching and singing books.
Free Comic Book Day at OK Comics
Thanks to everybody who attended OK Comics on Free Comic
Book Day and supported the Oxfam Education Appeal.
It was the best day in OK Comics history.
Drink
and Draw
Thanks to everyone who came along to our first 'Drink
and Draw' event at the Swan in Leeds. Hopefully, it'll
be the first of many.
Anybody (over 18) is welcome to come along and join
us, no previous drawing experience is necessary. Just
bring your pencils and your beer money.

They're about big enough to carry fifty
comics. They're water resistant, come with velcro and
zip fasteners, have an adjustable strap and they cost

We are located in the heart of Leeds in one of the city's
beautiful Victorian shopping arcades. We're just off
Briggate, the commercial centre of the city, and are
open Monday to Saturday 10.00 am to 6.00 pm and
now Sundays 11.00 am to 4.00 pm too.
We have two great floors of comics, graphic novels and
classic back issues.

Sean was in town as part of his UK signing
tour to promote his new Criminal comic series. He spent
a couple of hours signing comics and books, sketching
assorted Marvel Zombies and enjoying the various zombie
buns and criminal cakes on offer.

How long can I keep them for?
Graphic Novels will be available for periods of two
weeks, giving people ample time to read, enjoy and digest
the stories. Take them home, to work, to the park; anywhere
you'd normally enjoy your comics. They're yours to use
as your own for the two weeks you've got them.
How
do I take advantage of the service?
Just come along to OK Comics, 19 Thorntons Arcade, Leeds,
and see what's available. There may be something you've
had your eye on but been reluctant to splash out on.
Now's your chance to dip into a wide range of graphic
novel series'. If there's anything you're unsure of
our staff will be happy to help.
What's
the catch?
No catch. The aim of this service is to get as many
people as possible to read comics that they may have
otherwise overlooked.
Small Print. OK Comics is taking
quite a risk handing out books while taking no payment
for them, so we're taking credit card details from subscribers
as a deposit, so that if anyone decides to keep the
books we can bill them accordingly.
We do reserve the right to charge the retail value of
the book if it's lost or is returned in extremely poor
condition.
